Stakeholders meeting on Project PGI06218, RAMSAT

On December 1st, 2021, a meeting of the group of local stakeholders was held in the city of Pleven
within the implementation of Project PGI06218, RAMSAT, „Revitalization of remote and mountainous
areas through sustainable alternative tourism”, funded by Interreg Europe 2014-2020 . The event was
related to a thematic seminar „Use of natural heritage in cultural tourism” and was organized by
Association Euroregion Pleven-Olt, Pleven.
The aim of the event was to present the development of cultural tourism in the six European partners
regions and to share good practices in this field. The meeting was attended by representatives of the
Municipality of Pleven, as well as representatives of institutions involved in the field of tourism.
Along with the good practices in cultural tourism, which were presented by the team of Association
Euroregion Pleven-Olt at the interregional thematic seminar, representatives of Association NCISPleven
shared information about the project Cross Border virtual incubator for promoting employment
in bio agriculture, bio products processing and connected services, BIOVORTINC ROBG-141, cofinanced
by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund under the
Interreg VA Romania – Bulgaria Programme and implemented by Romanian Movement for Quality and
National Center for Information Services. The project was presented in terms of partnership, project
activities and results achieved. Promotional materials developed within the project were distributed.
The RAMSAT project focuses on 4 forms of sustainable alternative tourism: ecotourism, adventure,
cultural and rural tourism. Its main goal could be summarized in increasing the number of visits to
cultural and natural heritage and attractions, and increasing the amount of investment to promote,
preserve and improve the natural and cultural heritage. RAMSAT Project partners are:
